Sambikè
Hippocratic wine with elderflowers
Recommended serving temperature: 8-10° C
Alcohol content: 15% vol. (may vary from batch to batch)
Size: 50 cl
Sambykè is born from the infusion of white wine with acacia honey, cane sugar and “muscovado” sugar, elderflower and many other spices. The production of this drink takes place in a completely artisanal way and in small batches, selecting the most suitable white wine in the cellar. Excellent as an aperitif, it can also accompany cheeses, dried fruit, desserts; also ideal as a di- gestivo and as a meditation wine.
Ingredients: White Wine, Spices, Honey, Cane Sugar.
Notes: No coloring or conservatives.
Sambikè differs from other Hippocratic wines in the presence of elderflowers, which make the recipe original and unique and constitute a strongly characterizing taste element. In fact, the term Elderberry derives from the Greek word “sambykè,” the name of a particular triangular-shaped stringed instrument made precisely from the hollow branches of the shrub in Greek Roman times. The elderberry plant, believed to be magical throughout the ancient world, was often used to flavor drinks and has many therapeutic properties.
